My Story
Affirm was founded by Marley Hornstra, a community services and healthcare sector specialist with over seven years of experience recruiting across family violence, child, youth & families, disability, mental health, public health, aged care, education, and broader health settings.
Marley brings a rare blend of professional expertise and lived experience. Following an adult diagnosis of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), she has shaped Affirm around trauma‑informed, neuroaffirming, and values‑led practice. Her commitment to psychological safety, inclusion, and genuine care is embedded into every interaction with clients, candidates, and communities.
Affirm reflects Marley’s belief that recruitment should feel human, ethical, and deeply respectful of the people and purpose behind every role.
